In 1974, Bobby and Jackie started  The Scarborough Family Gospel Band.  All of the children and Delk Batten
made up the group.  In 1976, the band CBS Revue was formed with Bobby Crumpler, who happens to be David
Joyner's first cousin, Delk Batten and the Scarborough family.  Bobby played with CBS Revue until 1980.
Through the years Bobby has played music with George Atkins (original mandolin picker with Thunder Creek)
and David Joyner's great uncle, Noah Joyner.

Bobby has played guitar, fiddle and electric bass.  In his high school years, he played the bass drum in high school
marching band.  Bobby attended Randolph-Macon College in Virginia.  He is the head  of Deacons, Financial
Secretary and Custodian for Wakefield Baptist Church in Wakefield, VA.

Bobby has a close personal relationship with  David Joyner as he imparts much needed wisdom to David, the
band leader. The band refers to Bobby as "The Rock".  Bobby has played with Thunder Creek since it's inception in
2003.
